Most people, when trying to lose weight, want to follow a healthy weight loss plan. However, many people do not give this important aspect of weight loss much consideration. Losing weight as fast as possible seems to be the plan for many of us who need to lose weight. Reducing our caloric intake to a dangerous level or following one of those crazy fad diets can cause some serious harm to our bodies. Yet, many of us still would rather lose the weight as fast as possible rather than take our time and lose it safely.


The professionals in the health industry are continually researching the way our bodies react to various weight loss plans. There are many weight loss regimes that are completely scientific in their approach. Many people forget that the human body is very finely tuned and needs careful treatment if it is to function optimally and the same goes for healthy weight loss and weight gain. If you feed your body with the wrong foods you may find it reacts badly.


The one goal of this research is to help find the best way to achieve healthy weight loss. There are so many factors that have to be considered when you are on a weight loss plan. For example if your blood sugar is going up and down then it’s the time to think that something is wrong. If you make these substitutions, you’ll not only look slimmer, you’ll be healthier too in both the short and long terms. For anyone wanting or needing to lose some extra pounds, one of the most important factors to keep in mind is to be sure your plan is one that encourages healthy weight loss. It is so easy to follow the latest fad diets because everyone else is doing it or because it is a #1 best seller at the book store. But if it doesn’t promote a healthy plan then don’t put yourself at risk. Our bodies are delicate yet complicated and they can be easily harmed if we do not take care of them.


Sometimes we fail to use our common sense when we do things, and when it comes to diets it seems that many people forget about this altogether. Healthy Weight Loss is basically dependant on a list of “Dos and Don’ts”. The problem is that there are so many people out there offering their opinion on what we should and shouldn’t do to lose weight and many of them who “think” they know, are actually giving you false information. Here is my list of well some researched healthy weight loss tips. I hope you find them helpful


Some of the “don’ts” for healthy weight loss…….


DON’T be fooled by the latest fad diet. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

DON’T let others tell you what’s right for you. You need to lose weight for yourself.

DON’T forget that although calories count, it is no use counting calories and not taking sensible account of the need to eat healthy weight reducing foods.

Don’t reduce you calories too low as your body will think it is in starvation mode and reduce your metabolism.

DON’T go it alone. Get support from others.

DON’T drink your calories – eat them. Solid food provides greater satisfaction and provides the body with what it needs to function optimally.

DON’T set unrealistic goals. You should expect to lose about 1-2 pounds per week. That is realistic.

DON’T get distracted. Losing weight takes time.

Some of the “do’s” for healthy weight loss……


DO choose to eat healthy, wholesome foods from all of the food groups. Get the essential nutrients you need, whilst making appropriate choices for weight loss.

DO eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, to ensure there is plenty of fibre in your diet.

DO monitor your progress. Weighing yourself once a week and taking your measurements. Measurements can often be a better indicator of progress

DO exercise. Anything more than what you’re doing now is a plus, but a personally tailored exercise regime will show results much quicker.

DO eat a protein rich breakfast every day.

DO learn positive coping skills so that you don’t turn to food for comfort.

DO drink at least six 8oz.glasses of water every day.

DO eat enough food to satisfy you. Starvation is not the way forward

DO benefit from the experience of others who have successfully lost weight and maintained their weight loss


If you take the time you can find many healthy weight loss tips. One of the best places is your doctor. Visit one of your local gyms and ask for some tips there, although it may cost you some money. And the Internet is certainly full of tips, but be careful as some of the tips may have no scientific validation. I hope you are successful in your efforts to lose weight.

For those of us who need to lose weight we have all had to listen to advice from those who think they know the best way to be successful. And most time we didn’t even ask for their advice. But we usually be polite and let them explain the latest fad diet, weight loss program or new piece of exercise equipment that will melt the pounds away. The one thing that most of us want is to be able to lose weight fast. However, this is not usually the best approach to take as we have to maintain our health as we lose weight.


People are able to lose weight fast but most times the weight is usually regained after one stops the program they are on. The natural way to lose weight fast and in a healthy way is to drink lots of water. Yes, water, that elixir of life present in all humans. As a matter of fact, our bodies consist of 80 percent water. Drink one to one and a half liters of water first thing in the morning when you get up and before doing anything else. Drink it down all at once without stopping and you will see and feel the benefits quickly. It sounds like a lot, but if you drink 4 liters every day you will promote healthy, fast weight loss as well as overall heath and wellness. I want to really stress how important it is to drink lots of water daily, whether it is for losing weight or not. I know it works because I have done this for a long time and the benefits are awesome.


It would be safe to say that everyone that needs to lose weight is aware that becoming more active certainly helps the process along. Health experts are adamant in promoting exercise as a part of any plan to lose weight fast.
Exercise is a crucial part in losing weight in a hurry and it’s important to exercise regularly during the week. Exercising doesn’t’t mean joining a gym or hiring a fitness expert for 24/7; most can’t afford it anyway. Just simply walking will do the trick. Yes, walking, the most natural thing to do in terms of exercise and losing weight. Everyone should exercise daily for health reasons.


Water is a very important part of any weight loss plan and it should be included in any program that you undertake. I believe water is probably the single most important ingredient to lose weight fast and keep it off permanently. Bad things happen anytime you neglect drinking water. When you don’t drink enough water, the liver which works to provide stored fat for energy, helps the kidneys eliminate waste and becomes less effective at metabolizing fat. Whatever anyone tells you, drinking alcoholic beverages should also be out of the question. And you should also forget about smoking.


Besides incorporating water as part of your weight loss plan, we all know that the foods we eat are also important. It only makes sense that to lose weight we have to eat healthy nutritional foods. Nutrition is one of the best ways to lose weight fast. Most people never consider eating a balanced diet with the proper nutrition to maintain their basic internal metabolic functions to their best efficiency. It makes you wonder sometimes whether we live to eat or eat to live. However, it is difficult to eat right with all of the media pressure, fast food, junk food and modified food available to the public.


There are many foods produced that are directed at those of us who need to lose weight. If you believe you love diet food products and fast foods, it’s a myth you created for yourself by years of media control. There is media pressure, peer pressure and lack of education in nutrition. One good way to avoid all of this is to get involved in home cooking, look up interesting recipes with ingredients that you love, or try new variations you usually would never go for.
