Lose Weight

Losing weight for many people is one of the most difficult things they will ever attempt to do. It takes a high degree of self discipline and determination. Many people need to lose weight due to health reasons and on their doctor’s orders they begin the journey. Even when we know we must lose weight for health reasons it is still a difficult task. It is probably so difficult because to have successful weight loss one must change their eating habits, and as most of us know, this is no easy task.

For those of us who have attempted to lose weight know the many temptations that surround us. And it seems that once we start a weight loss program we see every food advertisement there is. It is harder than ever to resist the temptation. The food industry have also jumped on the band wagon with their many culinary delights to tempt our taste buds. Unfortunately many people have succumbed to this ploy and these processed foods along with other poor dietary habits have resulted in an epidemic of obesity previously never experienced in our world.

Just how serious is the weight problem in our society? Is it being blown out of proportion by those who are in a position to maybe have some sort of financial gain as a result of all the attention given to this issue? Statistics indicate that two out of three American citizens are classed as overweight, whereas as many as one in three have been diagnosed as clinically obese. Between $50 billion and $90 billion are spent each year on products and services to lose weight, including diet foods and drinks, slimming clubs and centers, and surgery to name but a few.

As you can see there is a very large amount of money being spent by people to find the best way to lose weight. For some this search never ends as they go from one program to another. And despite the fact that all this money is spent on an annual basis the weight loss problem refuses to go away. So why are we getting such poor results from the various methods employed to help people to lose weight.

We are all well aware that many of the processed foods we eat do not contain the nutrients our body needs. Many of the products available on our supermarket shelves will say low sugar or sugar free. What they fail to make clear is that these products that contain artificial sweeteners which are now thought to be responsible for many diet failures. In fact they may even be responsible for people putting on weight in the first place. People who join slimming clubs or visit fat farms can do very well initially but unfortunately they have a tendency not to last. Fat farms are relatively easy to take part in when you are being motivated and have the support of fellow dieters.

For most people the real world hits them hard once they are removed from the surroundings of a health spa with all the support and professional guidance. Once the participant has returned home, the attempt to lose weight loses its appeal and things slowly return to normal. Similarly with slimming clubs, the initial commitment to attend weekly meetings starts with a bang, but this enthusiasm can wane and once the participant has missed a week or two, the resolve to lose weight starts to slowly disappear. Apparently there is a 95% failure rate with most weight loss programs.

There is a lot of important information one must learn if you want to know how to lose weight successfully. The most important information is that which you use to help you be successful. I have found that for me there are 2 crucial things to remember if you are to experience success with your desire to achieve weight loss. The first is to eat the right foods for your metabolic type and the second is to do at least 20 to 30 minutes of exercise per day.

Regardless of what information you find that helps you be successful with your weight loss, keep in mind that you can be successful. Just be determined and control your eating. We all have to make changes at one time or another in our lives, and when it has to do with our health we must approach it with seriousness. Don’t give up. Losing those extra, unwanted pounds will have a positive effect on a number of aspects of your life.

Weight Loss Lies

Have you ever been told any weight loss lies?? The chances are if you have been trying to lose weight for several years and you have read different diet books and watched numerous programs on the TV telling you about the latest fad diet, then it is more than likely you have been told some weight loss lies. It boils down to marketing and every company promotes their information. I have found many companies to be honest and straight forward, while other’s really are lying to you. Do some research prior to starting any weight loss program and use your common sense.

I would like to believe that the lies haven’t been told on purpose, and I am sure that in many cases that wasn’t the intention. There is a lot of misinformation around that many people have taken to be the truth, and the medical profession in their ignorance of most matters to do with nutrition, have been party to these untruths. The food industry is as much to blame as anybody else. It is not that long ago that we were being told that polyunsaturated margarine was better for you than butter both if you wanted to achieve weight loss and also if you were wanting to avoid heart disease. Now we are told that hydrogenated polyunsaturated fats are harmful to our bodies and we are being advised to avoid them.

A more recent food scandal has been the low sugar products and the sweeteners that are used to replace sugar in many weight loss foods.. The dieter’s saving grace has been the fact that even though they were on a diet they could still have sweet tasting food and drink by using artificial sweeteners. We now discover that these sweeteners are nothing but a batch of chemicals. Not only are they thought to interfere with the body’s ability to gauge the calorific or sugar content of food but they also slow the body’s use of food. Could it be then that artificial sweeteners can make us fat? It has been suggested that Americans who consume large quantities of fizzy diet drinks are more likely to gain weight than to lose weight. The thought is that because the sweeteners prevent the body from gauging the calorific value of the food required they have a tendency to over eat

Artificial sweeteners are just another example of man’s inability to fully understand the human body. Our bodies do not function optimally on chemicals. To be fit and healthy we need to feed our bodies good quality nourishing food. Food should be eaten as nature intended. The nearer to its natural state, the better we can utilize it. So the same applies to weight loss. You are more likely to lose weight by eating good wholesome food than the various slimming options that are available on the supermarket shelves.

The bottom line is, do not believe everything you are told or everything you read. You need to do your research. If the article on the latest weight loss product was written by the company that is trying to promote it, then you need to use a healthy degree of skepticism. If in doubt read the label. Are there ingredients in there that you have never heard of? If so the chances are it is best avoided.

Weight loss is best achieved by following a sensible, wholesome diet that you can follow for the rest of your life

Lose Weight Fast

Lose Weight Fast

For those of us who need to lose weight we have all had to listen to advice from those who think they know the best way to be successful. And most time we didn’t even ask for their advice. But we usually be polite and let them explain the latest fad diet, weight loss program or new piece of exercise equipment that will melt the pounds away. The one thing that most of us want is to be able to lose weight fast. However, this is not usually the best approach to take as we have to maintain our health as we lose weight.

People are able to lose weight fast but most times the weight is usually regained after one stops the program they are on. The natural way to lose weight fast and in a healthy way is to drink lots of water. Yes, water, that elixir of life present in all humans. As a matter of fact, our bodies consist of 80 percent water. Drink one to one and a half liters of water first thing in the morning when you get up and before doing anything else. Drink it down all at once without stopping and you will see and feel the benefits quickly. It sounds like a lot, but if you drink 4 liters every day you will promote healthy, fast weight loss as well as overall heath and wellness. I want to really stress how important it is to drink lots of water daily, whether it is for losing weight or not. I know it works because I have done this for a long time and the benefits are awesome.

It would be safe to say that everyone that needs to lose weight is aware that becoming more active certainly helps the process along. Health experts are adamant in promoting exercise as a part of any plan to lose weight fast.
Exercise is a crucial part in losing weight in a hurry and it’s important to exercise regularly during the week. Exercising doesn’t’t mean joining a gym or hiring a fitness expert for 24/7; most can’t afford it anyway. Just simply walking will do the trick. Yes, walking, the most natural thing to do in terms of exercise and losing weight. Everyone should exercise daily for health reasons.

Water is a very important part of any weight loss plan and it should be included in any program that you undertake. I believe water is probably the single most important ingredient to lose weight fast and keep it off permanently. Bad things happen anytime you neglect drinking water. When you don’t drink enough water, the liver which works to provide stored fat for energy, helps the kidneys eliminate waste and becomes less effective at metabolizing fat. Whatever anyone tells you, drinking alcoholic beverages should also be out of the question. And you should also forget about smoking.

Besides incorporating water as part of your weight loss plan, we all know that the foods we eat are also important. It only makes sense that to lose weight we have to eat healthy nutritional foods. Nutrition is one of the best ways to lose weight fast. Most people never consider eating a balanced diet with the proper nutrition to maintain their basic internal metabolic functions to their best efficiency. It makes you wonder sometimes whether we live to eat or eat to live. However, it is difficult to eat right with all of the media pressure, fast food, junk food and modified food available to the public.

There are many foods produced that are directed at those of us who need to lose weight. If you believe you love diet food products and fast foods, it’s a myth you created for yourself by years of media control. There is media pressure, peer pressure and lack of education in nutrition. One good way to avoid all of this is to get involved in home cooking, look up interesting recipes with ingredients that you love, or try new variations you usually would never go for. You have got to face it head on if you want to lose weight fast, safely and effectively. I wish you good luck and good health in your weight loss goals.
