Fast Weight Loss: With Wonder Foods?


Well, once again you have decided to lose some weight. What a great feeling just to make that decision. You know it has to be done and now you are going to travel that road once again. You have been on this road before and you have been successful. However, for some reason you have put the weight back on and now it needs to come off. You are no doubt aware that this type of up and down weight roller-coaster is not a healthy ride to be on. And if you plan attaining a fast weight loss, it could be the reason you put the weight back on.


When we feel hunger we eat. When we eat we add calories. The problem is that sometimes we eat even though we are not hungry. Having a “full feeling “in your tummy is a tremendous help to a person when they are striving to meet their weight loss goals, as long as one of those goals is not fast weight loss.


Are there actually foods that can help us lose weight? It doesn’t seem to make sense that eating certain foods can help us lose weight. Nutritionist and food scientist say there are two basic food categories that can be considered “wonder foods” because they make your tummy feel full without the addition of extra calories. This full feeling is a tremendous help in achieving your desired weight loss. These two groups are fruits and vegetables. The aspect of fruits and vegetables that gives you that “full feeling” is fiber. Remember, fiber is a dieters best friend. Fiber is definitely what puts the magic in your diet. Fast weight loss isn’t going to happen with this plan, but healthy weight loss will.


It’s good to know that there are foods that will help us lose weight, even though it will not be fast weight loss. Protein is another wonder nutrient. It’s becoming more scientifically accepted that protein may help to curb appetite. Protein also offers staying power, and can slightly boost your metabolism in the process. It is very important for you to choose your protein wisely. If you have a choice between a 10 oz. rib eye steak, or a nice low fat yogurt, pick the yogurt. Just as with any other type of food, too many calories still means it will show on the scales, but the protein base of the yogurt will help curb appetite.


We can all be successful at losing weight, but we have to be prepared to stay the course and not plan to have fast weight loss. We can have such weight loss but it always comes back. Here are some additional foods that can help you with your weight loss program: green tea; yogurt; beans; water; and finally high fiber whole grain cereal. Research these foods and see how they are effective at curbing your feeling of being hungry.

Isn’t that sort of a different question: can your dog help you lose weight? Wouldn’t it be great if we could let the dog run loose all over the neighborhood and we end up losing weight. Well, it’s not that easy but your dog can actually help you lose some weight. Will it be one of those quick ways to lose weight? No, but you will lose weight. I’m sure you’re wondering how this happens?


Do you feed your dog a little too much sometimes? You can’t say no to her when she stares at you with those eyes wanting a little bit more to eat. Well, dogs can become overweight just as we do, however they really don’t care about quick ways to lose weight. They don’t care about their weight at all. But, if your dog needs to lose weight as well as yourself then it will be much easier for you to lose weight because you are responsible for the dog as well.


Can you see the connection now? How your dog can help you lose weight? The most common reason for an overweight dog is over eating. That applies to humans too. The primary reason why they over eat is that sometimes we use food to reward our dog or feed them table scraps. Likewise we sometimes reward our selves with desert and cakes or sweets. Because we think that higher price equates better value and the pet food companies know that we like to spoil our dogs and give them the best. Best is not always the highest price.


Just as we have to watch our diet it is also important that we take care with the food we give to our dog. It is important to learn to control your dog’s diet and feed them the amount of food your veterinarian has recommended. One day with no food will not kill your dog but will burn the fat that is stored in his body. Another common reason for your dog’s obesity is having little or no exercise. No exercise is the same reason that many humans are overweight. The good news is that when you take the dog for a daily walk both you and your dog will lose weight. Many people who don’t have a dog will say that they would be more inclined to go for a walk if they had a dog!! Walking is a great way to lose weight, even if it’s not one of those quick ways to lose weight.


For those of us who own a dog know how attached we get to them. They become a part of the family. A dog is known as man’s best friend. In fact often a dog mirrors the owner. An overweight human will often have an overweight dog. You should take care of your dog and if he or she is overweight then both you and your dog need an exercise program to lose weight. Walking your dog for 30 minutes every day is good both for you and the dog. You can burn calories together.


There are lots of similarities between dogs and humans with regards to weight. Dogs that are overweight tend to have shorter life spans and a lower quality of life. The same applies to humans. Moreover, obesity can cause many additional health problems such as arthritis, skin problems and heart ailments. Losing weight can prevent these illnesses if proper training and healthy living is adopted. Does not that read exactly for dog owners as well? You bet. Overweight dog owners also have shorter lives and develop other health problems like diabetes, heart and arthritis. If you change both your own and the dogs lifestyle then you can both discover how to lose weight and live longer. let your weight loss be natural. Don’t rely on quick ways to lose weight.

Quick Ways to Lose Weight


If you are like me, then you love to eat. And there is nothing wrong with this as long as we control what we eat and how much we eat. The problem arises when we don’t control our eating. We put on some extra pounds. for some of us it may only be a pound or two, maybe even five or ten. But for some people, the extra weight added become a very serious health concern. Health problems begin to develop and if they are not addressed there will be dire consequences. Regardless of the number of pounds one puts on, we all are looking for quick ways to lose weight. But before you start any weight loss plan, be sure that it is a healthy plan.


One of the main reasons we gain weight is because we eat too many foods that are simply not healthy for us. They may taste delicious, but their nutritional value is highly suspect, and some have no nutritional values at all. If you continue to follow your bad eating habits you will continue to put on more and more weight. Are you over weight and eating too much? Well, I have news for you. Over eating, very little exercise and lack of nutritional education are among the main reasons many people become obese and over weight. Are there quick ways to lose weight? of course there are, but are they safe? We have to educate ourselves on safe and healthy weight loss.

I think we should re-structure our school curriculums and emphasize nutrition classes and exercise. Obesity has now been classified as an epidemic and one of the leading causes of disease and death in America. Hello there, do you realize this is a matter of life and death? Respect your body and be good to yourself and start a weight loss plan. Don’t just be looking for quick ways to lose weight. Take the proper approach and give yourself the time needed to change your body weight. Some of those quick weight loss plans do work, but they don’t sustain the weight loss, and the weight will come back, quicker than you lost it!


We have to give our body healthy and nutritious food. If we don’t it will not function properly and illness will eventually occur. It is that simple. And once we are at the stage where our weight problem causes illness, we then become almost desperate to lose weight. People then start to look for quick ways to lose weight. In this frame of mind we sometimes fail to think logically and sensibly. We begin to look for those plans that tell us we can melt those extra pounds away. We begin the journey of never ending weight loss by looking for the quick fix.


The quick fix just isn’t there. Of course you can follow some of those plans and you will see some very fast weight loss. But it doesn’t last. The weight loss turns into more weight gain once you stop the program. And if you stayed on any of these quick weight loss plans for an extended period of time, serious healthy problems will begin to appear. We have health problems from too much body weight and we can also develop health problems from following those plans that promise fast weight loss. Take the correct approach to weight loss. Don’t look for quick ways to lose weight, but search for a program that is sensible and healthy. You are more likely to keep the weight off.
